There will be a sub in my room during F period and C period. Stellar behavior from all is my expectation.
E and D periods will work with Mr. Corey on analyzing Negro Speaks of Rivers by visualizing the poem. You are free to include the text or not. Start with a simple pencil sketch then move on to the thoughtful final draft.
F and C periods - students may work with the kids in their regular groups or solo to review the IA notes and complete the study guide. Use a CB. If there is time, students may play the IA Quizlets.
Objectives: be able to cite text evidence to explain the poet's use of symbolism, model good public speaking and listening, work cooperatively, use two-column notes to make sense of informational text, and explain the causes and effects of the most recent ice age.
